Linux
It would be really great if the slingbox viewer on the site worked on Firefox under Linux - otherwise, I can't use the service to view my slingbox (work is all Linux with some OSX).

Bandwidth Throttling to keep a low profile at work
At work if I run an application that demands too much bandwidth, I will get a call from our net admin. It would be nice to be able to select "High - 1GB +", "Medium - 500k", or "Low - 200K" bandwidth levels.

A Flash Based Player
The whole reason I would imagine most people, including me, would want a web based viewer is because they may not have the Admin privileges to install the client, such as school or work. So having to install a plugin in not possible either. Just making a Flash based player would mean one could easily watch TV on just about any computer without having to install anything. It also would instantly make it cross platform.

Recording with Slingplayer
Slingplayer should provide a recording capability. That way, people who don't care to watch live but prefer a lossless stream
can watch from the recorded file. Slingplayer already has the
recording capability since it allows to pause and rewind. So all
it needs is add the necessary code for selecting date/time, channel
and allow to record as long as available space.241 votes -

Google Chrome
Can you support the new "Google Chrome" browser with a Slingbox plugin. The web videos work but the local slingbox plugin is not available for Google Chrome.

Thanks for the suggestion. Currently, Google Chrome doesn’t support plugins like Firefox or Internet Explorer. We are looking at ways to provide one in the future.

Integration with SlingCatcher
If I could interface with Sling.com directly on my SlingCatcher, that would be the absolute best way to get web video content on my HDTV! You guys must already know this... :)

live tv: add jump ahead / back controls
i would vote for 10-sec skip back and 30-sec skip fwd. the buffer is just too hard use reliably for small increments like catching a line or a replay.
ps sorry for logging here - i ran out of votes in the other forum. hopefully there's a way to copy this one over there??

Wii Opera browser
Watching slingbox remote on the Wii internet channel would be a perfect match of utility and remote control. Much easier than hooking up a pc or laptop to my LCD tv. Is the plugin for OPERA in the works?

change channel in full screen
I noticed that when in full screen mode you cant change the channel. I think it would be very helpful to change channels in full screen by utilizing the number keys on the computer. another idea would be to allow keyboard arrow to change channel one by one in either direction.
